Queensland and Victoria begin an innovative partnership.
Ag Training has teamed up with Grains Industry Training Network (GITN) in an innovative partnership - where our Training Manager, Rex Davis, will fly to Victoria to deliver Combine Harvester Operation Training for communities in Dookie, Corowa, Laanecoorie and Manangatang.

"With the harvest looming, it is important to get to Victoria and give accredited training courses for setting up harvesters" Mr Davis said.
GITN's executive officer, Nickie Berrisford, said that "with the rising price of grain the industry was keen to maximise yields. The correct set-up of the harvester would go a long way to achieving the best results for farmers."
Safety was a major concern in the combine harvester set-up and in operating today's complex machinery. Accredited training has reduced the rate of machinery accidents. However, the resource boom has seen many skilled agriculture machinery operators leave to work in the mining projects around Australia.
This is the first step in the Machinery Partnership Project, designed to create partnerships that will lead to successful accredited training for agricultural machinery operators.
"This is an exciting first step," Mr Brewitt (Agri-food Council CEO) said. "The Machinery Partnership Project will help establish ongoing partnership between training providers such as Ag Training and industry organisations such as GITN."
