RTC2801A : Participate in Workplace Communications

Course Description :

This competency standard covers the process of effectively participating in workplace communications.

Communications includes speaking, listening, reading and writing, in groups or one-on-one, in person or using communication devices such as phones and two-ways. Communication can also be non-verbal, this includes but is not limited to body language and tone.

To achieve competency in this unit participants must:

• learn to follow simple spoken messages
• perform routine workplace requirements
• complete relevant work related documents
• participate in workplace meetings and discussions
