RTC3309A : Operate Machinery in Adverse Conditions

Course Description :

This competency standard covers the process of operating specialised machinery and equipment in adverse conditions.

Specialised machinery and equipment, for the purposes of this unit of competency, refers to any machinery and equipment used in agriculture, horticulture, conservation and land management work. The focus in this unit is on combine harvesters, and tractors.

In this competency participants will develop the skills to operate the machinery in adverse conditions including:

• rain
• hail
• heat
• wind
• rocky paddocks and
• dust storms
