RTE3307A : Co-ordinate Machinery & Equipment Maintenance & Repair

Course Description :

This competency covers the process of effectively co-ordinating work activities including repair & maintenance. It requires the ability to prepare, organise and complete small projects, whether they are repair & maintenance or another task within an enterprise.

Participants will learn how to, read & interpret workplace documents, calculate material resource requirements, co-ordinate a team, communicate with personnel on all levels and document the results.

To achieve competency in this unit participants must demonstrate the skills mentioned above as well as :

• show their understanding of work schedule programming
• handle possible disruptions
• understand contingency planning
• carry out responsibilities and requirements for repair & maintenance
• carry out responsibilities for external agency permits
• understand environmental implications of work and OHS issues
• have a knowledge of legislative requirements and codes of practice
