Vision Statement

The objective of Ag Training Pty Ltd is to create a work ready, body of professional agricultural machinery operators to lift the professional regard of agricultural employees and to address the skills shortage within the agricultural industry.

The need for well trained, competent staff is clearly apparent when one considers that modern farm machinery can cost anywhere between half a million and one and a half million dollars. Producers do not want to have their sophisticated and expensive equipment being operated by inexperienced or incompetent people. Unfortunately the lack of available staff is leaving no other option. This situation promotes many negatives and of major concern are those associated with safety.

We offer young people a career in agriculture, not just a job. We want to nurture their professional ambition in agriculture. Coupled with this, is the opportunity to offer National Certification to competent staff, already employed in the rural industry.

Our training is vocational. This means it is aimed at ensuring the students gain the skills and knowledge that are specifically required to do the job. To ensure this we have included many practical activities and demonstrations, (involving a range of machinery and equipment), in the training and kept the classroom teaching to a minimum. In addition, the majority of the assessments are practical demonstrations of the skills you have acquired.
